Some Promises to Believers

Old Testament

  • Deuteronomy 4:31 “For the Lord your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.
  • Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
  • Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
  • 1 Chronicles 28:20 Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.
  • Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord continually before me;
  • Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
  • Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.

  • Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
  • Lamentations 3:22-23 22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness.

New Testament

  • Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
  • Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
  • Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
  • Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

  • Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
  • Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
  • Hebrews 13:5 Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”
  • 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
  • 1 John 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
  • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • 1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.
